Hyacinth edge

Hyacinth edge

The hyacinth edge (Eichhornia crassipes) in wetlands filters pollutants, improves water quality, and provides habitat for aquatic life. It stabilizes sediments, regulates water temperature through shade, and aids in carbon sequestration and nutrient cycling. However, if left unmanaged, it can become invasive, disrupting the ecosystem balance.
